Laurie Eakes Ford has spent her entire life working in the tax and accounting industry and as a partner in her family’s business of real estate. However, with a passion for music and creativity, she began sharing her creations with others by selling at craft fairs and vintage markets. “What started as a hobby of repurposing frames and jewelry became a love for picking, repurposing, and selling vintage home décor and furniture.”
After years of doing fairs and shows and renting space in antique malls and artisan galleries, Laurie decided to take her love of vintage and creativity, mixed with her business knowledge, and open Mill Creek Mercantile in her hometown of Donelson, TN. Named after the creek that runs behind her family farm, its natural beauty is a source of inspiration and reinvention.
Located in a cute cottage in the heart of Donelson, Mill Creek Mercantile has a wide variety of vintage, repurposed, and artisan treasures of all kinds. “We have different vintage and vintage inspired merchandise from various vendors, as well as local artisans and authors.”
